Jubouri: Protesters found a new school of thinking

Shafaq News / The Iraqi parliament’s Speaker , Salim al-Jubouri said that protests in Iraqi cities over the last two weeks is a movement that represents a new school of thinking.

The Parliament is presenting a reform package taken by the Prime Minister , Haider al-Abadi after a wave of protests that included most Iraqi cities.

Jubouri said in a speech preceded the introduction of the package to voting, that the demonstrators were able to find a new school of thinking and reform document came in response to the demands of the Iraqi people.

He explained that the government and parliamentary reform represent a turning point in the thinking of the state.

Al-Jubouri addressed MPs that, "we must deal positively with the document , the people are waiting for a lot."

He stressed that the Iraqi people will remain the one to decide the evaluation of the reform process .
