Iraqi PM Abadi bans travel on seven officials and closes the borders in front of general managers
Baghdad: A political source revealed that the Iraqi PM Haidar al-Abadi banned travel on Iraqi state officials accused of corruption, as instructed to shut down airports in front of all those officials. An informed source said that Abadi instructed to ban travel by air and land for officials of the Iraqi state to those who are in rank of director and above, until the completion of the investigations on corruption files that have been opened recently. He added that al-Abadi also instructed to freeze the movement of seven officials said they were senior to travel outside the country.
Abadi said that the officials are accused of corruption.
