BAGHDAD / Obelisk: Student Vice President Nuri al-Maliki, Sunday, Turkey not to breach the sovereignty of Iraq.

Maliki said in a brief statement, he calls for Turkey "not to breach the sovereignty of Iraq and stop the aerial bombardment on the border areas in the Kurdistan region."

The head of the Kurdistan Regional Government Nechirvan Barzani said earlier, his government's readiness to help in a truce and move forward in the peace process in Turkey, saying that the use of force and violence does not solve any problem, as called for PKK to "restraint" in order to stop shooting.

Turkey plans to send ground troops to areas bombed by insurgents to keep them completely, as Prime Minister Ahmed Davutoglu said, "The instruction was given to launch air strikes in Iraq and Syria, and will be followed by ground operations."
