Washington granted the responsibility to protect Iraq's (CIA)

A source in the administration of U.S. President Barack Obama said the CIA is currently active in Iraq and has received a responsibility to help the security forces of the United States, which will no longer have a presence in Iraq after 2011.

He said the U.S. official told the newspaper that "the cooperation in the field of intelligence is very important for US-Iraqi relationship and there are challenges facing Iraq in the fight against terrorism."

The official explained, "We do not want to leave a very strong relationship we have built over the past years in terms of exchange of information important to both countries."


According to the paper that the CIA operates independently and has specialized teams and has the power to recruit people to work in teams, whether Iraqi or U.S. forces.

For its part, the Sadrist bloc, declared yesterday that the Sadrists would use "military resistance" against the U.S. embassy for violating the sovereignty of Iraq by the presence of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency the (CIA) in it.

He continued that "the Sadrist movement rejects the existence of U.S. intelligence in Iraq as evidence of the continuation of the U.S. administration to deal with Iraq in the spirit of the occupation and the spirit of sovereignty over its decisions," pointing out that "the Sadrist movement will resist militarily the U.S. embassy because the CIA from which a headquarters for its operations in Iraq." .

"The Sadrist movement stands firm and does not change any existing U.S. force in Iraq, whether military or intelligence indicates that America is still occupied and comes from assurances from the Americans, indicates a lack of withdrawal"
