The Parallels Between the Governing of Both the US, and Iraq... Spiritually Sound?...

There was a time when the US truly revered the One who gave the people of this country the opportunity to flourish, and grow into the world power we have become... But as with all great nations that have ever risen to heights such as ours, we have lost a great deal of what our greatness is based on... Instead of giving God the glory, we instead look to the technology, and boast of our superiority in many areas when compared to other nations... While the US military does possess weapons that are superior to all nation's worldwide, have we come to trust them to the point of placing our trust in them rather than seeking favor from the One True God who makes, or breaks nations?... I am reminded that we must beware that we think we stand, lest we fall... Many a great empire, or nations have been defeated at the height of their superiority... God can break the pride of a nation very easily... After all the children of Israel defeated many armies greater than themselves with farm implements... When their enemies were armed with superior weapons, and well organized... If God is not for a nation, well that nation will be broken...

If the past is any indicator of how nations rise or fall, the US is due for a humiliating defeat... Not because our military superiority, but simply because of our spiritual state, and standing with God... You all have heard the term "ripe for judgment." Although these are statements we would rather not hear, but the reality of it from a biblical perspective is nothing more than God will not tolerate the practice of lawlessness forever... And that is exactly what is transpiring within this country.. For those who deny this, a reality check is coming for the piper is going to get paid... There is a price for transgressing God's law, and that of course is death... Always has been, and always will be.. Abortion on demand, sexual immorality in various forms, bribery, murder, ect.... The list is vast, and the sins are not being repented of... Individual's can repent in accordance to God's Sovereign will, but we cannot force our neighbor to do so... Only God knows the hearts, or the inmost spiritual being of all...

One can say they are a Christian, but that does not necessarily make it so... By our fruits will it be determined whether we are truly saints of the Living God... And that fruit borne has to be based on God's righteousness as contained within His Word... NOT our own righteousness, or as many have done, created God in their own image in order to suit their own carnal desires... This does not sit well with God at all, and eventually "a little bad leaven, will lead to the an abundance of evil leaven."....

Hence we have seen the transformation of this country as one once being defined by our belief, and striving to obey God as being true liberty, to a nation whose freedom is based on breaking our Creator's decrees, while losing vital spiritual insight from Him because of our disobedience... As the decades have passed, and hedonism has risen, we have seen the lack of understanding of who God truly is, and what He expects of us... With the results of a degenerating society whose desires are based on the flesh, rather than wanting to please our Creator... Sad, but as King Solomon once declared in his writing within Ecclesiastes "there is nothing new under the sun."

So what started out as a country with grateful inhabitants who sought the will of their Creator, and based their whole life on how one was viewed by God, to a nation who expects blessings despite transgressing His commandments... Like the spoiled child that demands a piece of candy despite going into a fit of rage on the floor... We should be asking ourselves, "Do we as a nation truly deserve to be blessed based on our behavior as a whole?" ... Or do we truly deserve judgment from God, that while of course not what one "truly" desires... But with the understanding that in the overall scheme of things, it would better serve a greater purpose... How?... By bringing the inhabitants of this nation, and the world as well, to a state of the willingness to repent... And also understanding with much more clarity, "if one puts their hand on a hot stove, that individual is going to get burned."

So we look at Iraq's governance, and see the struggles that they have endured as well... One of the reasons why is the corruption within it basically.. But why is it corrupt?... It all begins with ones spiritual state... If one is not being lead by God, the alternative is going to be the one who has the most influence... Which is why so many laws have to be enacted... To combat those not receiving council from God our Creator, because a carnal state of mind exists... Without the abundance of laws being passed, we have chaos, or better yet tyranny...

Lets take a good, honest assessment of our country... After being founded as an independent nation nearly 240 years ago, there was such a belief in God, and the willingness to want to obey Him for the most part, that an abundance of laws were not necessary to govern bad, or unlawful behavior to the extreme they are now... Lets also look at the type of leadership that has been chosen as the years have progressed... Instead of seeking one who wants to please God in accordance to the bible, we have leaders elected based on implementing laws based on deviant behavior, or maintaining the right to practice lawlessness as defined by God's law...

So lets be honest in our assessment of where we are at as a nation.... With the freewill we have had for the most part within this country, where has it gotten us?.. Especially over the past 50 years as we have seen an escalation of "progressive" behavior based on licentiousness, and debauchery... Are we any better than Iraq as a whole?... Is our stability as a nation based on the form of governance we exercise, or is it based on the spiritual state of the ones elected to govern?... One thing to bear in mind is that for most of human history, a monarchy had been the chosen form of governance that has dominated how a country was governed... Is our Creator once again allowing us to see, and learn lessons based on the fact that no matter what type of governance we may be exercising within a nation, it will not matter if that nation does not seek His will while in existence...

Remember this also... Jesus Christ will be ruling as a King of kings... Obviously, His rule will be right, and just... Because it will be based on how God defines righteousness... Do you think that if Jesus Christ were to run for president based on repentance, and the need to obey God, that He would be elected by the population of the United States?... IMO, NO WAY.... Considering the spiritual state of this nation, Jesus would not even make it through the primaries...

Lets face it folks, this once great nation is a powder keg ready to blow... And our desire is not based on wanting to please our Wonderful Creator... It is based on our economic situation, and the utilization of freedom (that our God provides period) that seeks to only please the hedonistic behavior that has come to define our nation... Once this nation has come to the point of chaos, what type of governance will ensue... That is right!... Tyranny!... God has been the one that has not allowed for this, even though we have deserved it as a whole... What will happen when the Almighty lifts His hand of protection?...

Remember that ultimately this is a spiritual battle... Those of us who are of flesh, and blood are mere pawns of those who are spiritual in nature... And who we listen to is based on choices that we make in our own individual lives... Wouldn't it be wonderful if this nation were to seek the will of its Creator, so that the land could be healed?... So that our spiritual state could be healed above all that is made of the dust of the earth...

Which is why I hope, and pray we continue to seek God's will despite having acquired wealth that most of us have never experienced... For this wealth is like a wisp of smoke that will appear for only the number of years that our Creator allows it... No matter how well we may have invested, nothing is truly subject to lasting forever.... Keeping our focus on God is paramount if we are to survive the coming turmoil that this nation, and the world will face in the coming years... While the democracies of the US, and Iraq, as well as other nations base the survival of this form of governance on economic conditions in order to render the people into a false sense of security... When peril does come, ones money will not save that individual... In our computerized world, ones investments, or bank accounts could suddenly be rendered empty... Is their a plan in the works in order to cause such a panic that martial law will have to enforced?... Time will tell, but if our trust is in the Bread of Life, which Jesus Christ exemplifies in every way, what happens to one economically will not matter.... Placing ones trust in the flesh does lead to death.. (Romans chapter 8)...

Again, our survival is based on who we choose to place our trust in... And whether one believes in the existence of spiritual entities, or not, we are all influenced by them... How we live our lives, and who we choose to place our trust in is key... We know that God so loved the world that He have us His Son in order that we may have life everlasting through Him upon repentance... Because all have sinned... We were born into sin, so we must seek salvation through the One that sits at the right hand of the Father...

Lets continue to develop a love for our Sovereign Most High God... So that when the time comes, and all means of a physical solution will be rendered futile, our faith in the Rock of our salvation will help us to keep a proper perspective so as to "wait" on Him... This type of trust is not developed through religion, but by one's personal relationship... If one wants God's favor, that individual has to listen to Him based on what is contained within His Word... We need spiritual strength from on High, with the Spirit of God as our Help, in order to endure to the end...

God bless folks, and have a great day...
