Araji meets with Shalgham, asserts importance of getting Iraqi out of Chapter VII
28/12/2011 15:57:00 Baghdad (NINA) – Head of the Parliamentary Ahrar bloc, Bahaa Al Araji, asserted the “necessity of getting Iraq out of Chapter VII.”
A statement issued by the political commission of the Sadr Trend quoted Araji as saying, during a meeting with the Arab League representative in Baghdad, Ahmed Shalgham, today “we ask the State of Kuwait to adopt that in the UN Security Council so that Iraq becomes an effective member of the AL.”
Araji renewed fear from the Syrian crisis and its consequences for Syria’s geographic location because it has borders with Israel, saying that that “we should side with Syria because it is the state that faces Israel.”
He stressed the “importance of holding the Arab Summit in Baghdad and providing stable political grounds to give a real image to the countries participating in the Summit.
