    It is EVICT MALIKI DAY + FOUR (4) or " E - M DAY +4 ".

The countdown to election day is over. Will Maliki be evicted ? The coming days will be telling. First, we await the tabulation of votes, challenges and appeals must run their course, and then we should have a certification of the results and know which cluster received a plurality of the vote. News articles report that the foregoing will take about three (3) weeks and after May 25.

" After the conclusion of national elections, the Iraqi constitution stipulates that the CoR ( Council of Representatives / Parliament ) will vote for senior positions in the Iraqi government, including the President, the Prime Minister and his deputies, and the cabinet. Although each CoR ( Council of Representatives / Parliament ) member contributes an individual vote, in practice this voting occurs only after an agreement has been reached among the senior leaders of the political groups, invoking party loyalty and voting discipline thereafter. The selection of the cabinet requires an absolute majority of the CoR ( Council of Representatives / Parliament ) members’ votes (165 votes). In the final negotiations over government formation, even small groups can play a decisive role if they are able to provide the last few votes a governing coalition needs to clear this constitutional hurdle. Following the last election the new parliament opened on 14 June 2010 following the election on March 7th. Iraq set a record for the longest period of time without a government which lasted for about ten (10) months. It is EVICT MALIKI DAY + FOUR (4) or " E - M DAY +4 ".

Recovery hopes to reform the Iraqi economy after the formation of the next government

Recovery hopes to reform the Iraqi economy after the formation of the next government

    Sun May 04 2014 05:54 | (Voice of Iraq)

     Baghdad / term

Put the first legislative elections since the end of 2011, the U.S. withdrawal Iraq on the doors of government change, observers hoped that contributes to the economic reform depends heavily on oil revenues. Iraq has one of the largest oil and gas reserves in the world, and seeks to increase energy production continuously despite the obstacles that prevent states and including the bureaucracy and poor infrastructure.

Among the factors that put additional obstacles in front of goal this ongoing conflict in years between Baghdad and the Kurdistan region rich in energy resources and the autonomous and seeks to sign contracts with foreign companies without returning to the central government in Baghdad.

This will be the obstacles on the top economic priorities for any government out by the legislative elections. Crude oil represents more than 90 percent of the country's resources and more than 70 percent of gross domestic product, according to the International Monetary Fund.

Although invitations to Iraq to make further efforts to diversify its sources of economic, oil is still the main element is vital to the economy of almost the only country on the path of reconstruction after decades of conflict. He says Ayham Kamel Director Middle East and North Africa in the group "Eurasia" advisory "What on Iraq to focus on is the development of a more diversified economy and rely less on oil production."

He adds, "The challenge here is because of the security conditions may be difficult to overcome." The sector includes oil and only one percent of the total labor force in Iraq, but the sector remains, however, the biggest supporter for other industries, as well as being the main financier of the salaries of public sector employees.

In return, the private sector complain outside the oil sector of the banking system PayPal and old laws hinder building or maintaining business. It also represents rampant corruption and rising costs due to lack of electric power in addition to the deterioration of security, things will hold business administration in Iraq, which is witnessing the worst periods of the escalation of violence in years. The Iraqi economy is suffering from a general "weakness in its structure," according to a report by the World Bank. The report points out that despite the strong growth in the oil sector, the overall economic expansion "is not on a large scale is leading towards poverty rates decline."

The report continued that "the power and the weakness of the judicial system and the lack of efficiency and ease of legislation exceeded the legal and religious differences and the security situation, the whole of Iraq and put in the lowest rankings for doing business." Says director Ruba exclusive site "Irak Oil Forum" that "the primary (for the next government) is dealing with the same problems that hinder the growth of the oil sector."

The exclusive to "bureaucratic and infrastructure problems and a lack of gas, which led the government to import natural gas from neighboring countries," and the differences with the Kurdistan region on the export of energy.

She said the political parties in Iraq have a few disagreements about energy policy, but that these differences may turn out to be a conflict if the political blocs decided that the concerned government called technocrats to fill the ministerial portfolios.

Hakim call to rebuild the National Alliance does not receive a response from Maliki

Hakim call to rebuild the National Alliance does not receive a response from Maliki

    Sun May 04 2014 06:14 | (Voice of Iraq)

    Baghdad: «Middle East»
Insists the leader of the Islamic Supreme Council Ammar al-Hakim to rebuild «National Alliance» Shiite on the foundations of a new undisclosed, but do not expect to receive that heeded this time by a coalition of state law and its leader, Nouri al-Maliki.

The results of elections in 2014 that brought al-Maliki to the fore again, according to preliminary election indicators differ from the results of the year 2010 for more than one reason.

Perhaps the most notable reasons then is to win the overwhelming and unexpected achieved by the existing character of the Iraqi Sunni and secular Shiite faction (Iyad Allawi, the first Prime Minister of Iraq after the fall of the former regime in 2003). That result could not have been confronted and intercepted to form a government but to go ahead by Shiite political blocs through a policy of «My brother and I against my cousin, and my cousin and I got the strange», Vantage, according to the National Alliance, the Shia as the largest parliamentary bloc.

While the debate has emerged about whether the concept of the largest bloc among observers and political analysts or jurists, has been resolved by the Federal Court and that her famous Pftwaha that the largest parliamentary coalition could be formed after the election results and the formation of a government in 2010, according to the Erbil. But all expectations and indicators confirm that it does not Erbil new after today, especially after the failure of Arbil in version II in 2011 when he failed her team, the chief author of the Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani, and the cleric Moqtada al-Sadr and the Iraqi leader Iyad Allawi, leader of the united Osama Najafi, the withdrawal of confidence from Maliki after the decline of President Jalal Talabani to pass this request to the parliament as a result of Iranian pressure as said in the post-Iraqi politician Ahmad Chalabi.

Maliki, who described during the campaign team Erbil opposes him as «a team desperate» returned after one day of elections to flirt with great leaders of that team, Massoud Barzani, when he said, «What's between us and Massoud Barzani, a strategic alliance, and there are no differences sectarian and ethnic lines». Remark write off al-Maliki, who is himself the victor the largest in the recent elections, all deep differences with the Kurdish region, which resulted in a cut-Maliki salaries of its staff because of the dispute over the budget that has not seen the light of day despite the end of the election and the parliamentary session and turn the government into a caretaker government business.

Maliki does not want to return to the «robe» his father, a National Alliance, which was nominated in 2010 to head the government, which called the government of «national partnership», which he says all the participants ranging from al-Maliki himself did not check nor the National Partnership.

And where it seems the only solution now is to get out of this impasse is a majority government, the dispute most prominent, which floats on the scene is not between Maliki and his opponents like Allawi and Najafi and Barzani, but seems otherwise deeper with those who classify that they his partners, namely, al-Hakim and al-Sadr. The dispute centered on the form and content of the «National Alliance». Maliki and through his desire to form a majority government policy seeks to skip the National Alliance, given that both al-Hakim and al-Sadr would not support his candidacy for this government. The wise it is more enthusiastic to rebuild the National Alliance, making it the Shiite power bulk and that are in harmony with Iranian ambitions to remain Shiites are the force largest in the country, but excludes al-Maliki of the third term and allows for a plurality of views within the coalition to nominate his replacement would prefer not to be a coalition Maliki, and specifically from the Dawa party.

The Sunni Arabs, including a list of Saleh al-Mutlaq, and according to the announcement «Middle East» leadership in the list in the National Dialogue Front, Muhannad Hossam El Din «do not support a third term for the owners in any way», expressing his fear «re-alignments sectarian and ethnic again , which does not help to form a government of political majority that would save the country from the crises experienced by ».

The MP for the coalition of state law, Abboud al-Issawi, he has a different vision for the vision of the partners within the Shiite National Alliance, while considered that the experience of the National Alliance will not «be a successful experiment in the future, experience of previous were not so, it may be needed in the future, but are subject to the actions of other parties». Parties other than the point of view are not partners, Sunnis and Kurds, but the Shiites, saying that his coalition «Egypt to form a government on the basis of the political majority, because it is a way out of the worsening existing and bottlenecks faced by the government of the partnership, and a way out of the political impasse and the complexities faced by the current parliamentary session». This contrasts with the conviction of al-Hakim, which is based on the re «the formation of the National Alliance and turn it into a strong institution integrated and unified», adding that «no uniqueness in the governance of Iraq nor the marginalization of the component is not the monopoly of the decision, and we will work with the team's strong homogenized to take joint decisions end the crisis».

Sadrists, and through what was expressed by the leadership of the mainstream of quitting, told the «Middle East», assert that «the desire of everyone now is in a real political majority government we can skip the experience of failure during the past eight years that has not been achieved by something». Not only that, Vmamed Khalidi leader of the bloc «united» says «Middle East» that «Maliki could no longer secure (half plus one), it is undesirable from within the National Alliance, and will bet on small blocks, while we are with the current Sadrists and the Supreme Council and the Kurds are able to secure 225 votes, an overwhelming majority ».

The final results of the elections did not appear yet. Until the date of its appearance, many of the speech will be told, but whatever the reactions here or there, it is not only in front of al-Maliki out of this umbrella to the other may be narrower, but provide him with difficulty even cover leadership for the next four years.
