    Parliament to hold session on Tuesday without discussing Budget law

    BAGHDAD / NINA / Fifty MPs of the state of law coalition submitted a request for the Presidency of the Council of Representatives to include the federal budget of 2014 on the agenda of today's meeting.

    Parliment Speaker survives assassination attempt in Mosul

    Nineveh (AIN) -The Iraqi parliament Speaker, Osama Al Nijaifi survived assassination attempt when an Improvised Explosive Device exploded at a roadside in Mosul city, capital of Nineveh province.
    Security source told All Iraq News Agency "The Parliament Speaker, Nijaifi and his brother, Atheel al-Nijaifi, survived terrorist assault as IED went off targeting their motorcade in Mosul. The bombing injured one of Nijaifi's guards."
    Nijaifi has arrived to Nineveh yesterday where he met with the Governor and senior officials there.
