    Postponement of reading of 2041 budget draft' due to political differences in Parliament.

    Baghdad/ NINA /--Head of the parliamentary Finance Committee MP, Haider al-Abadi, said : " The council decided during the Parliament hearing today to postpone the reading of the draft budget law of 2014.

    He added in a press conference today: "The delay was due to political differences and the reduce of the House of Representatives budget."

    Kurdish MP predicts month for discussing before approving the Budget

    BAGHDAD / NINA / Vice president of the Kurdistan Alliance bloc, MP Mohsen al-Sadoun predicted that the discussion on the state budget bill for 2014 in the House of Representatives may take a month before approving it ."

    Sadoun said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / : "The budget bill will be read today a first reading in the House of Representatives and the political blocs will discuss the budget and show notes, and then it will be read a second reading in the coming sessions , and then it will be sent to the Committees of the financial and legal for finalization to be included in the agenda of one of the coming sessions for vote . "

    He said : "All the political blocs , including the Kurdistan Alliance , have notes on the budget bill . Therefore, talks and discussions among these blocks , will continue for a period of up to a full month , in order to reach a suitable formula that satisfies all parties. "

    It is scheduled the House of Representatives holds a meeting today , which will include voting and reading a number of laws , including the budget bill.

    Muqtada al-Sadr hopes the elections be transparent and be held as scheduled

    Najaf / NINA / The cleric Muqtada al -Sadr expressed hope to hold the next parliamentary elections as scheduled and there should not be a delay or postpone for any reason .

    Sadr said in remarks to reporters , after arriving at the electoral station to receive the ballot Electronic card : "We came today for the renewal voters' register and to receive the electronic voter's card and we hope , like other Iraqis , in transparent electoral process, and true democratic process participate by all citizens , for new Iraq fills with security and stability and governed by just government . "

    He added : "We hope that the elections will be held on schedule , and there will not be delay or postpone it, for security or political reasons."

    Parliament approves a bill for amending the Judicial Law.

    Baghdad / NINA /-- House of Representatives voted to approve a bill for amending the judicial Law No. 160 of 1979 in a session held earlier today.
    MP Luis Caro told NINA " that the House of Representatives postponed the vote on a bill to conclude treaties later noting that such a bill needs two-thirds of the members of the Council for approval ."

    Baghdad (AIN) –The parliament session witnessed heated statements over forming a parliamentary committee to observe the performance of the Independent High Electoral Commission.

    Parliamentary source stated "The disputes were among the MPs of al-Ahrar bloc and the Kurdistani Alliance who support forming the committee from one side and the MPs of the Citizen bloc and the State of Law Coalition who oppose forming it from the other side."

    Parliament tasks Legal Committee to observe performance of IHEC

    Suhail emphasizes necessity of developing banking system in Iraq

    Baghdad (AIN) –The First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Qusay al-Suhail, assured that the Iraqi banking system needs to development and legislations in Iraq.

    Suhail media office reported in a statement received by AIN ''Suhail emphasized, during the second global conference of banking held in Dubai, the importance of adopting a developed strategy in the banking system in Iraq and the necessity of providing the suitable environment for investment supported by the Government.''

    ''Iraq has many human capacities that need to be developed in order to keep up with the international development worldwide,'' the statement concluded.

    Parliamentary Finance: Amendment of paragraph petrodollars
