Said UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the nomination of five figures for the post of UNAMI in Iraq envoy successor to the head of the UN Mission outgoing Martin Kobler.

The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced last Monday the transfer of its representative in Iraq Martin Kobler to Congo head of the UN mission there.

Quoted by the official news agency KUNA Kuwaiti representative of Iraq in the United Nations Mohammad Hakim said Thursday, "During our meeting yesterday with the Secretary-General stated that there were five candidates for the position, without specifying their names or nationalities."

He described Hakim, head of the UN Mission in Iraq, Martin Kobler, who finished his duties next month, as "a very significant figure served as Iraq and the United Nations fully and we are sorry for leaving Iraq," and expressed the hope that "appointed Secretary-General of the United Nations figure similar to Kubler."

Traditionally, to approve any country on any representative nominated by the Secretary General of the United Nations in which to work.
