    Sadr threatens to organize demonstrations in the absence of the adoption of the budget

    Baghdad (AIN) -MP Hussein al-Mansouri of Ahrar bloc associated to Sadr Trend ruled out drifting Ahrar bloc's MPs to achieve personal interests through their relations with the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, noting that some MPs of the Sadr Trend want to achieve the public interest through their ties with Maliki.

    Mansouri told All Iraq News Agency "MPs of the Sadr Trend are far away from the temptations of the excutive authority but they seek to facilitate some things for the citizens through their relations with the executive authority."

    The Premier Maliki tries to propitiate the Ahrar bloc MPs and the Sadr Trend's to be able to penetrate the Trend, but the Sadr Trend's MPs do not bargain on account of the citizens' interests," he concluded.

    Bagdad (AIN) -MP Salman al-Musawi of the State of Law Coalition described the resignation of the Finance Minister, Rafa al-Issawi, from his post as electoral propaganda.

    Musawi stated to All Iraq News Agency (AIN) on Saturday "Issawi's resignation from his post in front of Anbar demonstrators is mere electoral propaganda."

    "This decision represents surrender to the anti-government forces which lead the demonstrations," he added.

    Hakim announces "Citizen Coalition" for upcoming local elections

    Baghdad (AIN) -The Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council announced on Saturday, the electoral coalition that will take part in the upcoming provincial elections.

    The head of the SIIC, Ammar al-Hakim, announced forming this Coalition during a ceremony held at his office in Baghdad which carried the slogan "The Citizen Coalition" with the electoral number: 411.

    Hakim said during the ceremony "We would like to inform the citizens about the announcement of the Citizen Coalition which will be devoted for serving the interests of the Iraqi people."

    The Citizen Coalition involves leading political and tribal figures, most notably the head of the Iraqi National Congress, Ahmed al-Chalabi, and the head of Bada'na Trend (We started), Jawad al-Bolani.

    The electoral propaganda for the next local elections which will be launched on 20th, next April has officially started on last Friday.

    BAGHDAD / NINA / The MP, of the Kurdistan Islamic Union bloc, Baker Siddiq confirmed that "The approving of the state budget for 2013 will be through "political consensus" among the large blocs."

    He told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / "The delay in approving the budget was caused by the differences among the large blocs, / National Alliance, the Kurdistan and Iraqiya / and when these blocs reach a consensus then will be approval on the budget."

    He expressed hope that the budget will be approved at the meeting on next Monday in light of the sincere desire of the political blocs for approval, especially it represents the need for the Iraqi community in all its factions to speed approval."

    The Presidency of the parliament called on all MPs to attend the meeting, which is to be held on next Monday, in order to vote on the budget.

    A statement by the Presidency of the Parliament said: "The Presidency of the council directed all MPs to convene on next Monday for the purpose of voting on the federal budget, where the final decision would be taken by the council's members through voting."
