    Political reasons behind delaying endorsement of Budget law, says Najib

    Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Najiba Najib, of the Iraqiya Slate revealed that there are political reasons behind delaying the endorsement of the Budget law of 2013 to hold the parliament responsible for this delay.

    She stated to AIN “The Federal Budget concerns all Iraqis and each political bloc has certain demands to be involved in this law.”

    “The demand of the Kurdistani Alliance to involve the dues of the foreign oil companies working in Kurdistan to export 250.000 barrels per day this will be beneficiary for all Iraqis,” she emphasized.

    On last Wednesday, the Parliament Chairmanship called MPs to attend the parliament session on next Monday to vote on the Budget law.

    Dori calls politicians to stop sectarian escalation

    Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Etab al-Dori, of the Iraqiya Slate called the politicians to sectarian escalation that agitating people.

    She stated to AIN “Talking in a sectarian, partisan tone by some politicians is reflected negatively on the people of the unified country.”

    “Iraqis are aware of those who work for their interests or those who are implementing foreign agendas as will be proved through the next Provincial Council elections,” she added.

    “The current crisis is about gains and posts away from the national advantages,” she stressed, urging “All the politicians to reconsider their conduct by supporting poor.”

    BAGHDAD / NINA / Any new arrest warrants against some politicians, officials and protesters will lead to worse the political situation in the country. Kurdish Independent MP, Mahmoud Othman says, noting "the political blocs are dealing with each other in the same hostile not as partners in the political process."


    He said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / the demonstrations in Fallujah and Anbar, were a reaction to the arrest of some of the protection team assigned to Finance Minister, Rafie al-Issawi, describing the process of the arrest and raid on the ministry at that time as "incorrect action."

    He added it was better to arrest some criminals and terrorists by court order, according to the correct contexts, and in consultation with the political blocs noting that detention in Iraq has become a subject of controversy among the political blocs, some blocs with these arrests and others against."


    Othman called "The government to wait to issue new arrest warrants against politicians and officials, and he also called all the political blocs to sit at one table and conduct a constructive and sincere dialogue to resolve outstanding problems."

    It is noteworthy that MP, of the state of law coalition of state law, Sadiq al-Labban had revealed earlier that "The government will issue arrest warrants against those who incite and contributed in fueling the sectarian strife by exploiting the demonstrations to tear the National Front of Iraq, noting that among those, the Finance Minister Rafie al-Issawi

    Breaking News…Maliki arrives in Karbala

    Karbala (AIN) –The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, arrived in Karbala province on Thursday.

    AIN reporter confirmed “Maliki arrived in Karbala province heading a Ministerial delegation to participate in setting the corner stone of housing project in the province.”

    Earlier, a source from Karbala Provincial Council revealed that Maliki will visit Karbala on Thursday to participate in the ceremony of signing the contract of Thifaf Karbala Housing project that will be erected by UAE Bloom Real Estate Company.

    Parliament not responsible for delay of Budget law endorsement, says Abtan

    Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Abdul Hussien Abtan, assured that the parliament is no more responsible for the delay of the Budget law endorsement and now this issue is up to the Federal Government and the Kurdistani Regional Government to decide.

    He stated to AIN “The tensed political scene is negatively affecting the endorsement of this vital law.”

    “Delaying the endorsement of the Budget law comes due to some problems in some of its articles,” he mentioned.

    “There are some disputes concerning the allocations of retired employees’ salaries, agriculture and the issues related to services,” he concluded.

    He told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / today 28, Feb "There are regional powers are using the card of Baath party between now and then, not because they like Baath but to anger Iraq and hate its social fabric".

    Saadi added that "the use of this card aims to keep it as fork- side to the political process and its arm to use whenever they like"./

    Nusayif calls to summon FM over procedures taken to relieve Iraq from 7th Chapter

    Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Aliya Nusayif, called the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, to summon the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hoshyar Zebari, to realize the procedures taken by the Ministry to relieve Iraq from the seventh Chapter of the UN Charter.

    She assured in a statement received by AIN “Under the Kuwaiti call to keep Iraq under the 7th Chapter for one more year, it is necessary for the parliament to know the procedures taken by the Ministry to relieve Iraq from this chapter.”

    “We hope Zebari to present a detailed report for the parliament to explain the role and plans of his ministry to get rid of the UN Charter,” she added.

    She asked “Whether the Ministry of Foreign Affairs addressed the Kuwaiti side to ask about its stance and its desire to keep Iraq under the 7th Chapter.”

    Maliki is ready to receive Barzani in Baghdad to resolve outstanding problems.

    BAGHDAD / NINA / Ali al-Moussawi, the media adviser to Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki confirmed that "Maliki is ready to receive the head of the Kurdistan Regional Government Nechirvan Barzani in Baghdad to resolve all outstanding problems between the central government and the province."

    He said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "Maliki's call is a permanent and continuous for all political parties to sit at the table of dialogue and address all problems and disputed issues in accordance with the Constitution and resorting to it as the main reference to solve problems."

    He added: "The outstanding problems between the center and the province are not insurmountable with the existence of a constitution , and if there is a controversy on it, we can resort to the Federal Court."

    The head of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Nechirvan Barzani expressed, on Wednesday, his readiness to visit Baghdad for dialogue and get out of the current crisis./

    Parliament: Next Monday session devoted to vote on Budget law of 2013

    Baghdad (AIN) –The parliament announced that the next Monday session will devoted to the vote on the Budget law of 2013.

    A statement by the Media Office of the Parliament received by AIN cited “The session agenda of next Monday is to vote on the Budget law.”

    On last Wednesday, the Parliament Chairmanship called MPs to attend the parliament session on next Monday to vote on the Budget law.

    The parliament is expected to vote on the Budget law whether the blocs reached agreement on it or not if the session witnessed the required quorum.
