    Chalabi denies calling to dismiss Nijaifi

    Baghdad (AIN) –The head of the Iraqi National Alliance denied the statements attributed to him over calling to dismiss the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi.

    He stated to AIN “The reports over my call to dismiss Nijaifi are groundless.”

    “We respect Nijaifi and such reports aims at affecting the relations among the political leaders in the country,” he concluded.

    Earlier, some media outlets attributed statements calling for dismissing Nijaifi to Chalabi.

    Kiyani describes including Mahmoud in ablation as "good step"

    Baghdad (AIN) -MP Mohamed Kiyani of the Change bloc described including the head of the Supreme Federal Court, Midhat al-Mahmoud, in the ablation procedures of the Accountability & Justice body, as step on the right path and devoting for the democracy in Iraq.

    Kiyani stated "clearing the Federal Court form Mahmoud is good step towards establishing neutral court that is far from politicization."

    "The judge Mahmoud exploited his post to install the dictatorship through disturbing the parliament's performance by freezing the laws that are issued by the parliament," he added.

    He stressed that "The Federal Court while being under control of Mahmoud turned from being an institution for promoting democracy in Iraq into a tool to bring the dictatorship back to Iraq as Mahmoud was one of the former regime's arms."

"

    Al-Sarraj: National Alliance and the Iraqi Shiites want to establish better relations with Saudi Arabia.

    BAGHDAD / NINA / Adnan al-Sarraj, a member of the state of law coalition said that the delegation of the National Alliance went to Saudi Arabia to provide consolation for the death of Amir of Riyadh Sattam bin Abdul Aziz, carrying a message from Iraq says "the National Alliance and the Iraqi Shiites want to establish better relations with Saudi Arabia in the future".


    He said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / "This visit came after receiving signals from Saudi Arabia that it feels danger of the Qatari role in the region and of the expansion of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Arab region," indicating that "this visit may unite the views between Iraq and Saudi Arabia on the events in the region."

    Baghdad (AIN) -MP of the State of Law Coalition, Salman al-Musawi, fiercely attacked the Speaker of Iraq Parliament, Osama al-Nijaifi, accusing him of being sectarian.

    Musawi said in a statement on Saturday "Nijaifi is no longer suitable for chairing the parliament."

    "After his recent visit to Qatar and his sectarian remarks, Nijaifi proved that he is part of sectarian project that targets Iraq's unity," he added.

    Baghdad (AIN) -MP Faiza al-Ubaidi of the Iraqiya Slate stressed that "The Iraqiya Slate is honored to stand with the demonstrators; at the time we acknowledge our failure to meet their demands."

    Ubaidi told All Iraq News Agency (AIN) "We admit that the IS did not do anything for the masses which elected the IS representatives, but our support for their demands is an honorable stand where the Slate boycotted membership of its ministers at the Council of Ministers."

    "The Parliament is requested more than ever before to adhere to holding the regular sessions to ratify the laws especially those related to the demonstrators' demands," she added.
