    Naji: Federal Court refusal for Jaafar's appeal confirms legitimacy of investigation

    Baghdad (AIN) 傍he member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Mushriq Naji, confirmed that the refusal of the Federal Court for the appeal of the Youth and Sport, Jasim Mohamed Jaafar, assured the legitimacy of the investigation request of the parliament despite the fact the Court has not right in refusing investigating any Minister.

    He stated to All Iraq News Agency (AIN) "The Parliament Chairmanship is the side that determine the legitimacy of the investigation request according to the parliament bylaw."

    "Recently, some Ministers resorted to the Federal Court to avoid the investigation and to win time," he added.

    "The parliament appoints Bahaa al-Araji to assume the task of investigating Jaafar and because he did not attend for three times for investigation, the parliament investigated him in absentia," he continued.

    "We have collected enough MPs' signatures to dismiss Jaafar soon," he concluded.

    Parliament session starts without voting on 2013 budget, Federal Court

    Baghdad (AIN) 傍he parliament session started without voting on the Law of the Federal Court or the Budget law of 2013.

    Parliamentary source stated to AIN "The session will involve conducting first reading of two law drafts and the second reading of another law."

    "The session is attended by MPs of the Iraqiya Slate," the source concluded.

    MP: Intergrity Committee to settle late files soon

    Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Shakir al-Daraji, of the Parlimnatry Integrity Committee stated "The Integrity Committee held a meeting with the head of the Committee and his two deputies to discuss the lates files."

    He stated to All Iraq News Agency (AIN) "the Committee informed us that the pending files will be settled soon," noting that "There are a number of files that are delyed and hinder the performance of the Committee where the Committee is following good procedures to settle them."

    "We hope to settle many files soon after setting a mechanism to support the performance of the Committee and its tasks," he concluded.

    Harb: Constitution allows gradual private amnesty

    Baghdad (AIN) 傍he Legal Expert, Tariq Harb, stated that the constitution does not prevent the gradual private amnesty.

    In a pres statement received by AIN "Article 73 of the constitution allowed the private amnesty through a suggestion by the Prime Minister regarding many crimes where there are many disputes over the sides included by the private amnesty."

    "The private amnesty can be when the family of the victim abandons its right from the one who committed the crime after stating the crimes that are included in this kind of amnesty," he added.

    Earlier, the Media Advisor of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, stated "Maliki agreed on the recommendation of the Seven-side committee to include the prisoners within the private amnesty when the family of the victim abandons its right."

    BAGHDAD / NINA / The MP, of the Iraqiya coalition, Etab al-Duri called the religious authority Ali al-Sistani and scholar Sheikh Abdul-Malik al-Saadi to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the current crisis to come up with decisions be obliged to everyone.

    She told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that "al-Sistani and al-Saadi are very respected in the Iraqi street, and they have the ability that will allow them to find correct and satisfied solutions to all the Iraqi people, as the two men represent the largest components in the country."

    Al-Duri added that the decisions that will come out from ( the supposed meeting) must be binding on all parties.

    BAGHDAD / NINA / The Chairman of the parliamentary Committee on security and defense, Hassan Sinead said that: "The preliminary report of the Parliamentary Committee for Fallujah's events will be announced today."

    Sinead said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "The security and defense committee will present its initial report, on the events of Fallujah, to the Presidency of the Council of Representatives."

    Sinead added, "The report will include evidence and impressions even if it would not be liked by any political party."

    The House of Representatives had set up a committee from the committees of security and defense and human rights as well as the heads of parliamentary blocs, /Khalid al-Attiyah / from the state of law / Muhsin al-Sadoun / from the Kurdistan Alliance and / Salman al-Jumaili / from Iraqiya coalition / to find out the facts of the events of Fallujah.

    The head of the Committee, MP Khalid al-Attiyah declared yesterday that the committee would report to Parliament within 48 hours.

    Zedan threatens to topple Government if demonstrators' demands neglected

    Baghdad (AIN) 邦P, Falah Zedan, of the Iraqiya Slate threatened to topple the Government to form another one to respond to the demonstrators' demands in case it does not respond to them.

    Speaking to All Iraqi News Agency (AIN), he said "There are sides that create fear among the Iraqis in southern and northren Iraq and telling them that the country will turn to be another Syria by witnessing a sectarian war to divide it."

    "The demonstrations are peaceful activity led by the moderate clergymen like Saadi and Rifayi who have great role in leading the people," he added.

    He called "The sides that adhere to sectarian affiliations to respond to the demands and implement them."
