    Procedures to withdraw confidence from Youth Minister completed, says MP

    Baghdad (AIN) -Member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, MP Jawad al-Shiheli announced the completion of the procedures to withdraw confidence from the Minister of Youth & Sports, Jasim Mohamed Jaafar on corruption charges.

    Shiheli told All Iraq News Agency on Monday "Till now, the Minister of Y & S did not answer the questions of the MP who investigated him which refer to presence of corruption in the project of Basra Sports City."

    "The request of withdrawing confidence from the minster was written officially to be submitted for vote within the agendas of the parliament's next regular session that will be held on next Tuesday," he added.

    The Parliament has conducted the investigations process in absentia against the Youth Minister over charges related to corruption accompanying the Sports City project that is being implemented in Basra province.

    White blocs calls political bloc to attend National Gathering

    Baghdad (AIN) – The White bloc called all the political blocs to attend the National Gathering called for by the Iraqi National Alliance.

    In a press statement received by AIN on Monday, the bloc stated "The National Gathering that is being held at the residence of the head of INA, Ibraheem al-Jaafary, resulted in positive results that will hinder the attempts of those who aim at dividing Iraq," warning from "The existence of the foreign sides and weapons that support the armed groups that penetrated the demonstrations."

    "The government knows about those attempts and works hard to stop them," the statement added, calling "All the political blocs to attend the National Gathering without exception to make the enemies of Iraq miss the chance to shed the Iraqi blood."

    "What is so called, the Arab Spring, will not happen in Iraq where the change can only happen through the elections and not by the military actions where what is required is to settle all the pending issues according to the constitution and the logic," the statement concluded.

    Investigation Commission: "Maliki decline to answer our questions over armament deal with Russia"

    Baghdad (AIN) -The parliamentary investigative commission tasked to investigate the armament deal with Russia revealed that "The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki did not answer the questions that comes within the commission's investigation process over the deal so far."

    Member of the commission, Haval Kwistani told All Iraq News Agency " Maliki's nor responding to our questions concerning the armament deal with Russia is a constitutional violation."

    "This issue increase our suspicions about the role of Maliki in concluding this deal," he added noting "Also, he did not take any procedure on those suspected of involvement in the corruption accompanied the deal."

    "The Commission has sent Maliki written questions about the deal but he did not answer until now," he concluded.

    The National Alliance's statement, on Monday, that Iraqi list took the decision to boycott the Parliament session due to "failure to reach a solution on the demands of the demonstrators, while Iraq said it will hold an expanded meeting tomorrow before the Parliament session to determine participation in the or sections.
    He said the National Alliance Hussein almerapi, in an interview with the (range), that "we have received reports of existing Iraqi province tomorrow in the House of representatives, because of failure to agree on demands of the demonstrators so far which try to pass through laws on the agenda".
    Almerapi, added that "Parliament has used the proposed laws to settle scores because they are far from SOA projects", calling for the "pass important laws that serve citizens."

    For his part, said Iraqi Deputy Talal Al-zawbai on (press term), that "Iraqi list will participate Tuesday in Parliament but that is subject to the approval of the final version of the law on general amnesty".
    Iraqi Al-zawbai, said "there will be a meeting before determining its position on the amnesty law and generally meeting", adding "if we fail to contribute to reversing the political process, we would not be false to view the process leading to the destruction of our people."
    And between Al-zawbai, "the lesson is not to issue the amnesty law and does not come out of a can and keep violations, arrests, detective," he said, adding that "Iraq will be briefed tomorrow on the amnesty law of the legal Committee in its current form and if you find it climb to a minimum in the interests of the people we are with him but if an empty law content, we will not be a tool to hurt our people."
    The Presidency of the Council of representatives of Iraq lifted, Monday (14 January 2013), the sixth meeting of the Parliament of the second legislative term of the third year of 22 of January, after postponing the vote on the Federal Court and legal amnesty, Minister of youth and sports in absentia, and finish the second reading of the law determining the mandate of the three presidencies.
    The legal Committee is mandated in Council amendments to the amnesty bill, after objections by the State of law coalition that boycotted parliamentary sessions in which to vote, and the State of law coalition described those meetings as containing "time bombs", in reference to laws which modify the demonstrators.
    And the application of the amnesty law of the demonstrations by demands from Al-Anbar province on the 21 December 2012, to Salahuddin, Diyala, Ninawa and Kirkuk, to protest the arrest of protect Iraq and the policy of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, which evolved later to ins open.
    Heads of parliamentary blocs agreed during a meeting, in 2012, the Parliament, led by speaker of the House of Osama's miniature Committee comprising representatives of Haider Mulla Amir Fahad and Khaled Mohsen in Tikrit and Hassan to consider the differences on the amnesty law.
    The Iraqi Council of representatives for most of the time to vote on the amnesty laws and Federal Court because of political disagreements on some of their clauses, most recently in January 2013.

    Nijaifi, Jafari discuss political situation, demonstrators' demands

    Baghdad (NINA) – Speaker of Parliament, Usama al-Nijaifi, discussed on Monday evening, Jan. 21, with the Leader of the National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jafari, current political situation and the demonstrators' demands.

    A statement issued by the Speaker's Office said that in the meeting the two discussed the country's political developments, mainly the demonstrators' legitimate demands and the necessity to speed up fulfilling legitimate and constitutional demands.

    It added that they also discussed Jafari's initiative to ease the crisis.
