Mohammad Saleh appearance called Economic Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister Haider Abadi, Government to vindicate the rights of Iraq to continue oil production and not to stop at a certain limit and exemption from OPEC's decision to freeze production.
Saleh said in a statement that "the decision of the Organization of petroleum exporting countries OPEC OPEC oil production freeze at 33.5 million barrels Iraq suffered injustice is to continue production, explaining that, for 30 years, and Iraq stopped production and others took Iraq's share of OPEC and the Government constantly claim oil production."
"Iraq is going through extraordinary circumstances being a very large fiscal crisis due to falling oil prices and continue to spend large sums on the war against ISIS plus most oil fields destroyed as a result of terrorist acts."
"Iraq's current production of 4 million and 200 thousand barrels per day, and our deficit in refined oil quantities and our need for refineries to refine 750 thousand barrels, indicating a large deficit in oil refineries and production must be increased to meet the needs of refineries at least."
Oil-exporting States reached in OPEC late last month to "historic agreement" on reducing oil production to a level between (32.5 to 33) million barrels a day.
OPEC estimates the current output at 33.24 million barrels a day.
The organization is expected to agree on production levels of each of the Member States at their meeting in Vienna on November 20.
