From CBI RE; CBI & raid ~ Central Bank denies the news of the storming of its building by military force
Saturday 12 September 2015 08:14
Baghdad
Denied Central Bank of Iraq on Saturday, news conquerable by military forces, as called for careful and cautious and credibility in the news. "
The bank said in a statement received by Alsumaria News a copy of it, that "some news sites and social networking sites deliberated some rumors that target the central bank, including the issue of conquerable by military forces."
He denied the bank "that altogether tendentious rumors", calling for a "careful and cautious and credibility in the news."
The local media reported recently that the military forces stormed the Central Bank of Iraq building

BGG says(6:50 PM):
OK thanks subby...
subgirl says to BGG(6:50 PM):
YVW!
BGG says(6:51 PM):
I know this is Alsumaria News - BUT... though I am skeptical of certain aspects of this report - it is not impossible that it happened.
BGG says(6:52 PM):
and in all reality - none of us were there - nor do any of us have the kind of source it would take to verify this (and I mean NO ONE - no matter what jibberish you hear out there)...
BGG says(6:53 PM):
so we will have to let it play out...
BGG says(6:53 PM):
several things - I doubt very much it was US Spec Ops - I doubted that from minute one. They looked like Iraqi special forces.
BGG says(6:54 PM):
my first reaction (no guarantee I'm right) was the Maliki bunch was blaming this on the US as they use everything as a wedge issue.
kathi says(6:55 PM):
POPPY3 :They told Abadi get this corruption stopped now…he ask by what means…they told him whatever it takes to move forward now at any cost…1 hour later US troops took over the Rasheed CBI BANK which is where Maliki has been laundering and stealing their money.
ADABI HAS ORDERED AN AUDIT IMMEDIATELY FROM 2003 TILL TODAY. THE BLEEDING SHOULD BE STOPPED AND REFORM WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE FORWARD FAST. I guesss we will have to see.
BGG says(6:55 PM):
however, it could just be Chalibi's crowd "running this up the pole" to see what kind of reaction they got from the Shias.
tman23 says(6:56 PM):
Think about it..... Iraq is active and trying to sell international bonds.... An attack on the CBI would not fall on the favorable side ........ so could it be as simple as more security !! There has been opposition to Iraq's monetary reform.....Iraq is moving forward with it........ That said.....it is not unbelieveable that military forces are at the CBI......but bet your last dollar they are not US military forces....... AND bet they are not storming through the CBI auditing Iraq's money.....
Doodle Brain says(6:56 PM):
you can not believe everything that you see/read
tubbyone says(6:56 PM):
"Iraqi special forces" photo looked like a stock photo to me.
BGG says(6:56 PM):
Thanks Tman - I was about to ask your thoughts :)
BGG says(6:56 PM):
another thing to keep in mind...
BGG says(6:58 PM):
along with this article - released at the SAME TIME was the list of "money launderers" touted by Chalibi... that is a MUCH HARDER report to attack...
BGG says(6:58 PM):
it's easy enough to say "that never happened"...
BGG says(6:59 PM):
it's another thing entirely when a long list of "known Maliki associates" gets published with it...
BGG says(6:59 PM):
my take - they are attacking corruption at every level.
BGG says(6:59 PM):
Tman??

comment
Mrs BGG says to CanTWaitwoRV(7:00 PM):
Go
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:00 PM):
I'll go on the ledge just to make this more interesting
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:00 PM):
so
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:00 PM):
the demonstrators have shut down more govt buildings for a 3rd/4th week in a row
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:01 PM):
that tells me they are not giving a rats you know what as much anymore
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:01 PM):
Sistani comes out with more vigor the past couple day
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:01 PM):
days
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:01 PM):
Abadi says he can't make parliment due to an "emergency" out of the blue
BGG says(7:02 PM):
and to take that though one step further...
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:02 PM):
I would not be surprised that the CBI got hit
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:02 PM):
if it did
BGG says to CanTWaitwoRV(7:03 PM):
I think it likely...
Doodle Brain says(7:03 PM):
..don't forget that Iran is putting pressure on them with agreements with Germany and now, Vienna.
BGG says to CanTWaitwoRV(7:03 PM):
but on the Sistani note...
Doodle Brain says(7:03 PM):
"banking" agreements
BGG says to Doodle Brain(7:03 PM):
(that is a good point - let's cover that in a sec...)
BGG says to Doodle Brain(7:03 PM):
(report ready??)
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:03 PM):
my personal take is the reforms are moving way too slow and Sistani knows he's loosing control and Abadi is also..it's getting to that point of no return imo
Doodle Brain says(7:03 PM):
standing bye
BGG says to CanTWaitwoRV(7:04 PM):
back to the Sistani note...
CanTWaitwoRV says to BGG(7:04 PM):
k
BGG says to CanTWaitwoRV(7:04 PM):
(I don't think he is losing control)
BGG says(7:04 PM):
"...With both Sistani & Sadr addressing Turkish hostage issue, seems fair to assume captors are indeed Shia. But also highly marginal ones..."
CanTWaitwoRV says to BGG(7:05 PM):
well loosing control as in not peaceful much longer
BGG says(7:05 PM):
These are the Shia militias Maliki is directly aligned with.
BGG says(7:05 PM):
Shia/Iranian/Maliki militias
CanTWaitwoRV says to BGG(7:05 PM):
in fact I'm thinking based on your quote we're probaby past peace
BGG says(7:06 PM):
"highly marginal..."
BGG says(7:06 PM):
first off,
CanTWaitwoRV says to BGG(7:06 PM):
yup
BGG says(7:06 PM):
who benfits from turning Turkey against Iraq??
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:06 PM):
Iran/M and the backers
tman23 says(7:06 PM):
Word was 9/8 there was a change coming to the CBI...... 9/8 was to be a big day for Parliment and Ministers........what happened on 9/8.....A deputy minister of the judical was kidnapped...his body guards were released which is strange...... So Abadi cancels meetings and holds special meeting late night........ Then Abadi goes to appear in front of Parliment Thursday for a speech......gets to the doors and turns around as an emergency situation came up...... Then the CBI news of troop takeover....... BUT.....similar events had happended in the past only different scenarios.......meaning when they get close to changing something, somebody starts a fire in the hallway.....
BGG says(7:07 PM):
Turkish support means less Shia and more balance (more Kurd, Sunni)
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:07 PM):
so back to the CBI...somethins afoot imo
BGG says to CanTWaitwoRV(7:07 PM):
IMHO - yes, correct.
Pablo says(7:07 PM):
Sounds like a Sherlock Holmes story.
CanTWaitwoRV says to BGG(7:07 PM):
(y)
BGG says to CanTWaitwoRV(7:08 PM):
and I don't care which one of these "pontificators" says differently - when has any of them been right. EVER.
CanTWaitwoRV says to BGG(7:08 PM):
haha
BGG says(7:08 PM):
Great synopsis Tman!!
BGG says(7:08 PM):
I like it.
CanTWaitwoRV says to BGG(7:09 PM):
results will let us know in the coming days/couple weeks from now I'm betting 10 lamb shanks on it..no need for the guru jibber jabber out there I hear ya on that
CanTWaitwoRV says to tman23(7:09 PM):
(y)
BGG says(7:12 PM):
I found it hilarious - when we were talking (in detail) about the "missing Maliki" from the top level Shia meeting - later that night it was exactly the same thing everyone else was writing about - almost word for word. Like they read our mail :D
CanTWaitwoRV says to BGG(7:13 PM):
lol....that got around :D
BGG says(7:13 PM):
Doodle - you have that report ready??
Doodle Brain says(7:14 PM):

BGG says to Doodle Brain(7:15 PM):
Thanks for that -
Doodle Brain says(7:15 PM):
My pleasure....
BGG says to Doodle Brain(7:15 PM):
I read this through a couple of times... tough read
Doodle Brain says(7:15 PM):
flickering lights...have to go. Blessings to all y'all! (F)
BGG says to Doodle Brain(7:16 PM):
highly difficult translation
Doodle Brain says to BGG(7:16 PM):
tough and informative
Doodle Brain says to BGG(7:16 PM):
if ounce of it is true
BGG says to Doodle Brain(7:16 PM):
however, very informative.
BGG says to Doodle Brain(7:17 PM):
mostly about Iran.
Doodle Brain says to BGG(7:17 PM):
but if you couple that with the banking agreements that they have with Germany (set up a week ago) Iran is setting the pace...Iraq MUST get off their duff and engage
BGG says to Doodle Brain(7:17 PM):
That was what I got from it too.
CanTWaitwoRV says to Doodle Brain(7:17 PM):
another reason to speed up the Iraqi cleanup :)
Doodle Brain says to BGG(7:17 PM):
and then you add in the ingredient of the CBI being "stormed"? really? are your onlookers that stupid?
BGG says to Doodle Brain(7:18 PM):
you mean those using us as a "cheat sheet" - yeah. Probably :D
Doodle Brain says to BGG(7:18 PM):
(y)
Doodle Brain says to BGG(7:19 PM):
and none of us here at DU are stupid....
BGG says to Doodle Brain(7:19 PM):
that report about US Spec Ops being the ones really has the Maliki flavor to it...
BGG says to Doodle Brain(7:19 PM):
that's his out of his "play book" chapter and verse.
CanTWaitwoRV says to Doodle Brain(7:19 PM):
oh I think the CBI is that stupid to have to be dealt with tho
Doodle Brain says to BGG(7:20 PM):
"yo yo Maliki...we ain't stupid here..."
CanTWaitwoRV says to Doodle Brain(7:20 PM):
whether it's stormedaudited/removed take your pick
BGG says(7:20 PM):
the big denial article - BTW, quoted NO SPEAKER... just generically the CBI - really??
BGG says(7:20 PM):
when was the last time that happened??
CanTWaitwoRV says to Doodle Brain(7:20 PM):
stormed/audited/removed
BGG says(7:20 PM):
the CBI doesn't "caution" anyone in a generic sense like that.
BGG says(7:21 PM):
it is almost always an advisor or speaker.
BGG says(7:21 PM):
OK - moving on...
CanTWaitwoRV says to BGG(7:21 PM):
and why would they even respond to a news feed if nothing happened
BGG says(7:21 PM):
Romello - you got something interesting??
satrib says to BGG(7:21 PM):
??
BGG says to CanTWaitwoRV(7:21 PM):
EXACTLY.

Parliamentary Finance: low central bank reserves will not affect the economy
9/12/2015 0 Comments
Picture
Information / BAGHDAD / .. reduced by the parliamentary finance committee Masood Haider, Saturday, of the importance of the decline in the central bank's foreign exchange reserves. A member of the committee MP Masood Haider told / information / "The wrong policies were behind the Iraqi Central Bank reserves decline of hard currency. "He added that" the reserves drop to $ 60 billion after the $ 68 billion economy or strength does not threaten as stocks for the long term not for trading real-time within the financial system, "noting that" there is a reservation to some central bank action relating to sales of the currency market . "Haider pointed out that" there are ongoing discussions and dialogues in this regard and we are working very seriously to find ways to maintain the exchange rate without the depletion of hard currency. "
End.
Doodle Brain says to BGG(7:21 PM):
I thought the "timing" of the article about Iran and Vienna/Germany has been curious...now all this CBI talk. Invasion, new notes, new rates, bonds...etc. All so curious. Alot for an "Non-Sovereign" country to take in.
BGG says to Romello(7:22 PM):
Thanks - good piece.
Doodle Brain says to BGG(7:22 PM):
Wait, both NON-Soveriegn countries (Iraq and Iran) to handle
BGG says to Doodle Brain(7:22 PM):
exactly...
Doodle Brain says to BGG(7:22 PM):
have to sign off now. Be kind, be blessed and unplug if you are in a storm! haha (F)
BGG says to Doodle Brain(7:23 PM):
Thanks so much!!
BGG says to Romello(7:23 PM):
My take on that piece...
Romello says(7:23 PM):
yes
BGG says to Romello(7:23 PM):
Sounds like Alaks buddy/mouthpiece on the Finance Committe covering for him.
BGG says to Romello(7:24 PM):
how in the WORLD can lower reserves not have an impact (of some kind)??
CanTWaitwoRV says to BGG(7:24 PM):
yea back to the stupid people
CanTWaitwoRV says to BGG(7:24 PM):
:D
Mrs BGG says to satrib(7:26 PM):
Go
satrib says to BGG(7:26 PM):
add to all of this drama, the story about Abadi shutting off internet in Iraq?? Things that make one go hmmmmm. Tough to zero in on what exacty is going on but sure makes you think SOMETHING is afoot
BGG says to satrib(7:26 PM):
Great point - I was going to post that ... things that make you go Hmmmmmmmm
satrib says to BGG(7:27 PM):
lol...scary huh
BGG says to satrib(7:27 PM):
lots and lots and lots of very odd occurances lately.
BGG says to satrib(7:27 PM):
too many for there not to be some FIRE.
satrib says to BGG(7:27 PM):
this is one tie fire might be a good thing
BGG says to satrib(7:27 PM):
agreed.

Romello says(7:29 PM):
End
BGG says to Romello(7:29 PM):
Thank you for that report...
BGG says to Romello(7:29 PM):
key phrase...
BGG says to Romello(7:29 PM):
"the ball in the court of the government to put an end to the waste of public money" .anthy
BGG says to Romello(7:30 PM):
which they are after right now...
BGG says to Romello(7:30 PM):
much of this article is the more mundane mechanations - the business of government.
BGG says to Romello(7:31 PM):
Najiba - is calling for reductions in Government salaries... she was (essentially) calling for an RV last week...
BGG says to Romello(7:31 PM):
(she knows)
BGG says to Romello(7:31 PM):
:D
Romello says to BGG(7:31 PM):
Thanks(y):)
BGG says to Romello(7:32 PM):
Thank you sir!!
Mrs BGG says(7:32 PM):
Any ?'s
satrib says to BGG(7:32 PM):
??
Mrs BGG says to satrib(7:32 PM):
Go
satrib says to BGG(7:33 PM):
not going to be silly enough to ask date or rate....just your gut instinct as to what you think is really going on with all of the crazy stuff
BGG says to satrib(7:33 PM):
something is up - for sure.
BGG says to satrib(7:34 PM):
Abadi is dealing directly with "the bad actors" - as far as we are concerned... this is really good.
satrib says to BGG(7:34 PM):
Alak?
tubbyone says(7:35 PM):
?
tman23 says to BGG(7:35 PM):
My take........ Committees formed in the past to study......more were formed to study..... The IMF and UST have both been involved for years AND YET......a study needs to be done to find a solution......CMON MAN !!! They have been given the solution and an itemized plan to follow....... There is no perfect time or perfect plan, events change daily.......at some point you initiate the plan and make changes accordingly........ There will never be a perfect time !!
Mrs BGG says to tubbyone(7:35 PM):
Go
tubbyone says(7:35 PM):
What's going on with the 3 +/- laws needed to be passed?
CanTWaitwoRV says to tman23(7:36 PM):
dang you beat me to it..so eloquent on top of it lol
BGG says to satrib(7:36 PM):
Alak is on that list - which is why - my take, he is talking about lower reserves don't hurt... don't pay attention to this "raid" that never happened... blah, blah, blah...
satrib says to BGG(7:37 PM):
thank you....my thoughts too
BGG says to tubbyone(7:37 PM):
only one is "needed" - as per WB and IMF - AML Law.
tubbyone says(7:37 PM):
Any update?
BGG says to tubbyone(7:38 PM):
which has been read twice as of a couple of days ago...however, it gives the appearance as Abadi is dealing with this stuff, the legislation slows down.
tubbyone says(7:38 PM):
Right
BGG says to tubbyone(7:38 PM):
not that it matters that much - timing wise. The corruption needs dealt with.
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:38 PM):
?
Mrs BGG says to CanTWaitwoRV(7:39 PM):
Go
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:39 PM):
so we got Turks being kidnapped, Abadi shutting down the net, talks of CBI raids, Abadi telling parliment he has to deal with an "emergency"
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:39 PM):
starting to see a pattern
satrib says to BGG(7:40 PM):
zig zag pattern...lol
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:40 PM):
like what happened with Sterling...Goodwill didn't show up in the end
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:40 PM):
security did
subgirl says to Mrs BGG(7:40 PM):
?
CanTWaitwoRV says(7:40 PM):
and Abadi got two weeks til Oct 1st
BGG says to CanTWaitwoRV(7:41 PM):
Yes - I am and thank you for those final thoughts!!
Mrs BGG says to subgirl(7:41 PM):
Go
subgirl says(7:41 PM):
What happened to all the laws that was to be passed?
CanTWaitwoRV says to BGG(7:42 PM):
:)
BGG says to CanTWaitwoRV(7:42 PM):
AML Law was read the second time. Only needs read third time and voted on.
BGG says to subgirl(7:42 PM):
that is the biggie...
cjquade54 says to BGG(7:43 PM):
sorry to butt in but I thought 2 reads and then vote
subgirl says(7:43 PM):
can they rv with only that one voted thru??
BGG says to subgirl(7:43 PM):
Investment Law and National Guard Law are still being discussed.
BGG says to subgirl(7:44 PM):
can?? - Yes. Will they?? That is another story.
BGG says to cjquade54(7:44 PM):
I may be mistaken - as I recall it is 3 reads and a vote.
subgirl says to BGG(7:44 PM):
Thank you :)
puffdragon says(7:44 PM):
Is everyone having internet problems ?
Pablo says(7:45 PM):
Nope.
Cricket22 says to puffdragon(7:45 PM):
Are you in Iraq? Just kidding! :D
satrib says to CanTWaitwoRV(7:45 PM):
I still question the timing of the whole Sterling, DC thing too.....just a lot of odd timing
Pablo says(7:46 PM):
Very much so.
BGG says(7:46 PM):
OK gang - thanks for everyone tuning in. Good News Time.
Mrs BGG says(7:46 PM):
Thank you everyone!!
tubbyone says(7:46 PM):
What happened in DC?
CanTWaitwoRV says to satrib(7:46 PM):

Mrs BGG says to sheila3(7:46 PM):
Thank you for copying!!
Pablo says(7:46 PM):
Okay, I think I'm missing something. What is the pattern that we're looking at?
Mrs BGG says to subgirl(7:46 PM):
Thank you for helping!!
CanTWaitwoRV says to Mrs BGG(7:46 PM):
BGG Thx! (v)
