UNHCR opens a residential complex with a capacity of 100 housing units for displaced people north of Najaf

UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Iraq announced on Tuesday the opening of an apartment complex with a capacity of 100 housing units for displaced families north of the province of Najaf, and as pointed out that the objective of the project is to keep the displaced from the "evacuation risk", the local government of Najaf, praised the commission's efforts to shelter families displaced from hot provinces.
He said the High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Bruno Guido in an interview with (long-Presse), that "The Commission opened today, the apartment complex north of the province of Najaf," noting that "the idea of the project came at protecting families from the risk of eviction."
Guido said, that "the people of the province of Najaf did not fall short with the displaced and Ahtdhanohm but some may be exposed to evacuate and that the purpose of the project ''.
For his part, he praised the governor of Najaf, Luay al-Yassiri as "the UN's efforts in the province and provided to the displaced families," noting that "the province has embraced the thousands of displaced families from Salahuddin, Diyala, Anbar and Nineveh Plain."
He adds Yasiri in an interview with (long-Presse), that "the upper threshold of the holy processions Husseinia and Albiotat Anajafip and social institutions in the province, the major role in sheltering displaced families through the provision of services and operation of thousands of them. '
Yasiri pointed out that '' despite the lack of government support budgets was present, as well as the use of international organizations ''.
The camp includes a port by the UN refugee organization in collaboration with the Canadian Organization Aoun and the upper threshold of the Holy hundred dwelling houses of different services and it is hoped that the United Nations more than the preparation of housing units in the future after the success of the project.
