Federal Court Annuls membership of Hussein Al-sharifi as Deputy in Parliament

(Voice of Iraq) – Federal Court annulled the membership of Baghdad, Hussein Al-sharifi as Deputy in the Chamber of Deputies.

A member of the liberal parliamentary block mp Yasser Al-yasiri, said in a statement that "the Federal Court annulled the membership of mp Hossein sharifi, after an appeal to the Court by former Industry Minister Nasir Al-Issawi to consider votes obtained".

Yassiri added that "the Court considered the appeal has been resolved in favour of Al-essawi and Parliament to complete the actions".

He said that "Al-Issawi managed to get electoral votes higher than Al-sharifi, so membership has been cancelled".
